Waste water - septic systems

Managing waste water on your property is critical to keeping your family and the environment healthy.

There are several types of on-site wastewater management systems.  All of them are required to be registered with Council.  Council will carry out regular inspections to make sure the system is working properly and will charge inspection fees for this service.

Water for the home

Your health depends on having water safe for drinking, showering and washing.  It is up to you to maintain it to an appropriate quality.  The CSIRO has made some information available and we have included some information  about testing and managing your water quality.

At Bungendore Council Chambers

Food and refreshments provided. Please RSVP 6238 8111 by Friday 15th June 2012.

In 2011, Palerang Council received funding from the Australian Federal Government under the Strengthening Basin Communities Program for the Murray-Darling Basin. Council has used this funding to commission reports on water resources, water quality, population pressures and climate variability in the western catchments of Palerang. A fifth report, Snapshot on Sustainability: Report on water management, institutions and issues for Palerang describes the institutional and legislative framework that water planning operates within and provides a brief summary of the other reports.

Have your say - Kings Highway Road Safety Review

The Centre for Road Safety and Roads and Maritime Services are undertaking a road safety review of the Kings Highway between the Princes Highway roundabout at Batemans Bay and the eastern most part of the ACT border just south of Bungendore. The review, in consultation with the community, will develop a road safety strategy for the Kings Highway to address identified road safety issues.

You are invited to submit your feedback to help address the issue of road safety. We will use your information to help form a future direction for the Kings Highway Road Safety Review.
