Information for New Residents

Welcome to our community.

As part of the Carwoola community you will receive a free copy of the Stoney Creek Gazette in your letterbox each month, courtesy of the advertisers, many of whom also live in this area. The aim of the Gazette is to keep residents informed of activities in the local area. On the inside front cover you will find listings for the various community organisations in the area and their volunteer office bearers. If you need assistance, it is just a phone call away.

We were all newcomers at one time and the Carwoola Community Association makes a free Information Pack available on request. In the information pack we have endeavoured to give an overview of the rural residential area in which we live, what this community can offer you, and many other things we wished we had known when we moved here. Some of this infromnation is included on this website.  We have also collected some pamphlets and other information which we hope you will find useful.

Regular monthly articles in the Stoney Creek Gazette include THINGS TO DO IN THE GARDEN, LOCAL PLANTS IN FLOWER, WEATHER WATCH for the previous month, and free CLASSIFIEDS. There are also regular reports from Carwoola Community Association, Stoney Creek Rural Fire Brigade and Carwoola Landcare Group. Contributions from residents are always welcome, either on a regular or one-off basis.

Other free publications you should receive in your letterbox are the "Bungendore Mirror" each week and "The Palerang and District Bulletin" each month.
