On Sunday, 28 May at the Carwoola Community Hall, the Stoney Creek RFS are intending to offer a full day training workshop for residents on:
 Fire basics
 Rural fire fighting: Incident & Response Basics
 Personal Responsibility
 Individual Preparedness
 Property Preparedness
 Family Preparedness
 Animal Preparedness
 Street Preparedness
 Leaving Early/Making the decision to evacuate
 Evacuation Basics
 Staying & Defending
 Firefighting Basics
 Warnings & Fire Danger Ratings
 Bushfire Survival Plans
This is quite a lot to cover and we may have to adjust the scope after we’ve tried it out once or twice! We’ll be keen to hear from you what you think of it. We will also include a number of practical activities such as:
 Setting up & operating pumps
 Working the hoses
 Experiencing the heat & smoke
