Carwoola Landcare Group - Planning Meeting

19 Jun 2016 - 10:30am

The new date for the Carwoola Landcare Group (CLG) Planning
is below.

Coffee and morning tea will be provided!

DATE: Sunday, 19 June 2016
TIME: 10.30 am (River Reserve walk-around at approx. 11.15am)
PLACE: Community Hall, Gathering Place, off Douglas Close, Carwoola
The purpose of the meeting is to invite new and old people to be a part of the CLG and to work through new 'stewards' for the CLG activities, as Lynton Bond transitions out of his role as Coordinator. Attached is a list of Lynton's current activities.

The meeting will also discuss two priority projects for 2016-17 and the level of commitment people in the area can make to those projects. One of the projects is looking at how CLG can support the maintenance of the Molonglo River Reserve (a community asset owned by Council).
At the end of the meeting on 19 June 2016 (at approximately 11.15am), there will be a walk-around assessment of
the Molonglo River Reserve (at the end of Molonglo River Drive, down the easement track) with Council Weeds Officer, Neville Plumb. Neville will advise of the Council maintenance program and how CLG might be able to assist maintaining the Reserve between Council maintenance activities. Neville can also advise on the weeds present in the area and their control methods, which people may benefit from, regardless.

New people are most welcome (even if you just want to come along and find out a bit more about the Carwoola Landcare Group).

Please let Megan Dixon know if you can make it. (ph: 0418 533 646)
